Hi I’m Misty Piña.

I began my journey in the beauty industry over 24 years ago after being
laid off from a factory job—an unexpected turn that led me straight to my
true calling. While I quickly fell in love with all things beauty, it was
the people I met, served, and grew alongside that truly captured my heart.
Helping people grow—both personally and professionally—became my passion.

That passion led me to build The M Salon into what it is today and to later
open the Sweetwater Institute of Cosmetology, where I have the joy of
shaping future beauty professionals and salon leaders. Watching my team
members and students grow into confident professionals who can provide for their families has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

When I’m not at one of her businesses, I love being at home with my husband of 30 years, spending time with our four sons and two grandchildren. As a salon owner, my goal is simple: to create a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and cared for. By offering a variety of services and price points, I hope everyone can find their place at The M Salon. Giving back to the community that has supported my journey remains one of my greatest passions.
